Our priorities
We want to build stronger and sustainable communities through the involvement of our employees and active partnerships. We channel our community investments into the priority areas education, with a special focus on children, and environment. We do this through for example the ING Chances for Children programme and many local employee programmes.
Investing in a better future
ING has developed three global employee programmes:

For us volunteering is more than donating time, money, energy and expertise; it is a demonstration of commitment and involvement.
We consider volunteering as a win situation for all parties involved:
- the receiving party receives the expertise and commitment,
- the volunteer broadens his or her horizon,
- ING gets closer to the community we operate in, and
- Society at large, as volunteering positively contributes to achieving the Millennium Development Goals
Therefore we encourage our employees to engage in volunteering initiatives and support them. This is anchored in the ING Business Principles
