      <description>The ING Sustainable Equity Fund, ING Duurzaam Aandelen Fonds, has emerged as the best performing Dutch sustainable equity fund in 2011. The news coincides with the launch of ING Investment Management’s (IM) new fixed income fund – ING (L) Renta Fund &#45; Euro Credit Sustainable. The new fund invests in Euro&#45;denominated debt securities issued by companies which pursue policies of sustainable development and adhere to social and environmental norms.</description>

After the campaign went viral, a whopping €121.936,32 was raised for UNICEF to ensure thousands of children in Zambia can go to school this year.</description>

      <description>ING has been awarded a ‘Certificate of Merit’ on the recommendation of the executive committee of the urban district of Amsterdam Zuidoost, where our head office is located. ING was awarded the prize for the reading aloud project which has been running in the urban district since 2006 and which involves employees reading to children at three primary schools on a weekly basis. The aim of the project is to reduce language deficit and to ‘teach’ the children to learn by involving them in the storyline.</description>

      <description>Three ING colleagues were invited last June by the Great Ethiopian Run organization to join in the international Great Ethiopian Run running contest in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The reason they were invited was because they managed to fundraise the highest amount for UNICEF in the 2011 ING Running Event last June. During their trip to Ethiopia, our colleagues also got a chance to witness ING’s support to UNICEF’s efforts to help Ethiopian children get access to education.</description>

      <title>ING US scores top marks on Corporate Equality Index</title>

      <description>The Human Rights Campaign Foundation has awarded ING US a 100 per cent score on its 2012 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the sixth year running. The index assesses 850 American companies on their efforts at achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality in the workplace. While the firms are annually rated on 40 specific policies and practices, the assessment for 2012 was made on the basis of additional new stringent criteria around transgender health benefits.</description>
