Performance highlights:
- As of 2007, ING operates 100% carbon neutral globally.
- In 2010, ING has reduced its emissions of carbon dioxide with 1% compared to 2009 (extrapolated figures).
- 62% of the electricity we purchase worldwide is derived from wind, solar and water power.
- 33% of all ING business units implemented additional energy-efficiency measures in 2010.
- ING Green Finance (Dutch: ING Groenbank) manages EUR 829 million for ING customers for green projects.
- In 2010, ING provided access to primary education to 135,575 children via the ING Chances for Children programme.
